World Wrestling Entertainment has taken on its first female talent from the Middle East: Shadia Bseiso of Jordan.
Earlier this year, Bseiso was invited to WWE's talent tryout in Dubai with 40 men and women from the Middle East and India.
“It is an honour to be the first-ever woman from the Middle East to sign with WWE,” Bseiso said. “Working with WWE is an incredible opportunity."
Bseiso is trained in Brazilian ju-jitsu and is a CrossFit enthusiast. She is currently a voice-over artist and a Dubai-based TV presenter.
She will train at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, starting January 2018.
